MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Any person who is an American Citizen, a member in good standing of the Catholic Church under The Holy See , and a Veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States, as herein defined, is eligible for membership in the Catholic War Veterans of the United States of America, Inc.
For purposes of establishing veteran status, an applicant shall have been enlisted, drafted, inducted, or commissioned into any branch of the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, including their National Guard or Reserve components, and who has served at least 90 days on active duty and who now has a discharge under honorable conditions. "Honorable conditions" includes those veterans who have served less than 90 days of active duty and who have been honorably discharged because of a disability incurred in the line of duty, or any person currently serving on active duty, in the National Guard, or Reserves. Also eligible are veterans of the U. S. Merchant Marine, provided that such applicant who has served in the Merchant Marines, served at least 90 days of active duty during World War II between 7 December 1941 and 31 December 1946, including service in the U. S. Army Transport Service or the Naval Transport Service.
